How we handle cookies
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This site sets as few as it can, and the ones that are not needed for it to work are only set if you allow them.
Your answer is itself remembered in a cookie, so that you are not asked again on every page. It lasts twelve months, and you can change it whenever you like — the button below reopens the question, and there is a link in the footer of every page.
What is set, and why
| Category | What it is for | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remembering your cookie choice, and keeping an editor signed in to the content management system. | No |
| Statistics | Counting visits and seeing which pages are read, so the site can be improved. Nothing here identifies you. | Yes |
| Investor tools | The share price chart, the dividend history, the total shareholder return calculator and the other tools on the investor pages. They come from Euroland IR and set cookies of their own when the page opens. | Shown as part of the page |
Statistics cookies are only set once you have said yes to them.
The detail
What is set, and for how long Two cookies from this site, plus whatever Euroland set on the share pages.
This site sets a cookie holding your cookie choice, which lasts twelve months, and — only if you sign in to the content management system — a session cookie that is deleted when you close the browser.
On the pages that show a share price chart, a dividend history or a similar tool, Euroland IR set cookies of their own from their own domain when the tool opens. Those are theirs rather than ours, and are described in their own privacy information.
What happens if you say no to statistics Everything still works; we simply stop counting.
Every page works exactly as before, including the investor tools. The only difference is that no visit statistics are collected, so we cannot see which pages are read.
Changing your mind, and getting in touch The choice can be reopened at any time.
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. Clearing your browser's cookies also clears the answer, and you will simply be asked again on your next visit.

Please have this page checked against UIE's own privacy and cookie policy before the site goes live. What it describes matches what the website actually does today, but it is not legal advice.
